If travelling by air, we recommend flying into Champaign (CMI) or Indianapolis (IND). It is quite easy to rent a car or take a bus from either location to your hotel. These are the two nearest airports and definitely the most convenient.
If you would like to visit the Windy City three hours north of us, fly into Midway Airport (MDW) in Chicago. From there you can take the Illini Express, Megabus, or Amtrak train to Champaign. You might even be able to hitch a ride with some of our many friends driving in from Chicago. Tell us when you are arriving in Urbana--we'll probably be able to find a volunteer who can help you get a ride to your hotel.
We strongly recommend that you AVOID O'HARE AIRPORT (ORD) if at all possible. Delays and difficulty connecting to other modes of transportation make this a very frustrating method of arriving in Champaign-Urbana on time. Trust us on this one.
